Hilti, known worldwide for construction products and services, is expanding its training offerings with virtual reality from NMY. Using an authentic digital replica of a real construction site, construction professionals and architects learn how to prevent and fight fires. VR training combines the flexibility of digital training with the physical experience of on-site training.
VR training complements traditional classroom training with immersive learning experiences. The entire course is designed as blended learning (classroom and e-learning) for construction professionals and architects. It combines the strengths of both learning methods.
VR encourages learners to take an active role in training. Instead of passively listening to a lecture or reading a text, VR allows learners to manipulate objects, make decisions, and perform actions in a realistically simulated environment. This immersion increases engagement and leads to better comprehension and recall.
Construction professionals experience fire safety in a digital twin of a real construction site. Since the motor memory is also activated, the information is particularly well remembered. This also helps get new employees up to speed faster.
